Abstract
The Baro-Akobo-Sobat Multipurpose Water Resources Development Study Project is one of the seven sub-projects identified in Integrated Development of the Eastern Nile (IDEN) and the first project identified by Eastern Nile Subsidiary Action Program (ENSAP) operating within the framework of the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI). The purpose of the proposed IDEN project is to initiate a regional, integrated, multipurpose development program through a first set of investments, which confer tangible, win-win gains and demonstrate joint action between the Eastern Nile Countries.
